PJ Johnson was formally invested as the Yukon Territory’s first Poet Laureate on July 1, 1994.

Glen Sorestad, poet and publisher, was named Poet Laureate of the Province of Saskatchewan in 2000.

Words Aloud at the Library

Sunday February 28, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Library Auditorium

Join Owen Sound Poet Laureate Kristan Anderson and former Poet Laureate Liz Zetlin, for a collaborative performance piece, and the Owen Sound premier screening of the Words Aloud documentary film featuring performances by Shane Koyczan, Lorna Crozier and many other exciting poets and spoken word artists – Sunday, February 28, 2 p.m., in the Library auditorium.  The afternoon will also include the debut of an exciting new online spoken word project for teachers, students and all those interested in learning more about the spoken word.
